bottega venetaWhen a brand boasts about its handcrafted wares, the credit goes to the expertise of the artisan. Bottega Veneta hosted an event in the celebration of this spirit and presented ‘The Hand of the Artisan’, at Chiswick House in London. The unique event took guests on an immersive and interactive journey through Bottega Veneta’s heritage of craftsmanship and its Venetian provenance. Eight rooms on the first floor of Chiswick House were dedicated to tableaux of Bottega Veneta’s products—both iconic and new—with live demonstrations by artisans from the house’s Atelier in Montebello Vicentino. Chiswick House, completed in 1729, is built in the style of Venetian architect Andrea Palladio, whose greatest palazzi are located in Vicenza where Bottega Veneta was born. Palladio is also a perennial inspiration for creative director Tomas Maier.
