Switzerland/France – Dior watch for 2015 – Dior VIII Grand Bal ‘Plissé Soleil’ 36mm

Revealed at the Baselworld 2015 last month, the Dior VIII Grand Bal ‘Plissé Soleil’ 36mm wrist watch comes with a new twist. Its name ‘Plissé Soleil’ or ‘sunray pleats’ is represented by the automatic movement featuring a functional gold oscillating weight placed on the dial, decorated with metalized grey mother-of-pearl marquetry. The dial is silvered sun-brushing with translucent dark blue lacquer, with faceted hour and minute hands on the face This is set with 103 diamonds, each of which is of approximately 0.79 carat weight. The clarity is V.V.S and Colour is FG.

The case of the watch is made of polished stainless steel. It is bezel set with diamonds and decorated with a white mother-of-pearl ring and antireflective sapphire crystal glass. The signature ‘CD’ is engraved on the stainless steel crown. The case back is transparent crystal.

The watch has just the hours and minutes function, a 42 hour power reserve and is water resistant to upto 50 meters. This limited edition Dior VIII Grand Bal ‘Plissé Soleil’ has only 888 limited edition pieces available.
