The lawns of the Belgian Embassy were trampled flat by swish boots and stilettoes at the hugely successful fashion exhibition ‘Medusa by Sonal Jindal’. The hip and cool junta turned up in droves, and a veritable traffic jam ensued on Nyaya Marg, with cars double parked for want of space. The bright and sunny Sunday morning set the right ambience for families to step out and indulge.
A record number of 71 designers of fashion apparel and accessories participated in the event. Some of the popular participating labels were Mynah Designs by Reynu Taandon, Jewel Thief by Saraswati Kaul Jain, Karn Malhotra,Aak by Kunjana and Geetika, Rahul, Queens Jewels, Priyanka Khosla, R Studio Our Ensemble, Dubai based Sanam Tamanna. Abhilasha Poddar’s showcase of Benarassaris and fabrics was a huge draw, where most celebrities including Ms Shahnaz Hussein shopped. Angel Artmiss counseled on holistic living and predicted the future at the stall no.61. The label Gym Jam’scolorful stall displayed some amazing swim wear and gym wear apparel. Another month into the summer and they will be most in demand. Chinar by Alisha had some interesting comfort footwear. Jewel Thief’s Saraswati Kaul Jain and Udit Jain remained in demand and were kept busy by the rush of VIPs at their stall.
The glamorous event saw many an important people from Delhi’s diplomatic community and social circle checking out the shops. Some of the dignitaries seen at the event were Belgian Ambassador to India H.E.Jan Luykx and his wife Raka Singh, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Ms Samargiul Adamkulova, Ambassador of Slovenia, Ms Shahnaz Hussein, Ramola Bacchan, Mira Mukherjee etc.
The event was supported by Ratan Kaul and Parull Mahajan. The Luxury Chronicle was the online media partner for the event. The students from the fashion institute INIFD did a brilliant job in supporting the event, right from manning the desk at the entrance to taking care of all the logistics as the event. Hospitality partner Circus catered to the hungry shoppers. Also onboard were The Junction and Icons.

We aim to showcase only the finest and offer eclectic collection for visitors. We have been getting an overwhelming response for Medusa, as we saw a lot of buyers coming in to shop at our last exhibition. We are now gearing up for more seasons with designers who are coming up with new trends in their creativity.”
