The Grappa bar at Shangri-La’s – Eros Hotel, New Delhi has expanded its offerings on the menu, to include Asian Tapas along with Italian Tapas. Located at lobby level between the Chinese restaurant Shang Palace and the Italian restaurant Sorrento, it is perhaps inevitable that the twain have had some influence.However, there is also a deep old connection between Italian and Chinese cuisines as found by the travels of Marco Polo, an Italian explorer, journeying from Italy to China.
So, along with Grappa’s Italian inspired Barrel Aged 
Cocktails, Negronis and inventive cocktails served until late hours the nibbles get more interesting. The combination of the two celebrated cuisines offer Italian Tapas, which includes appetizing bruschetta, grilled skewers like chili garlic mushroom skewers, free range chicken with red chili and Romesco sauce, mint and garlic rubbed lamb with chili lemon tomato dip and Neapolitan pizzas.Asian Tapas section is a blend of grilled, poached, wok and fried authentic Asian delicacies like tempting fried Tenderloin fillet, pan-friend Lamb pao with celery, Xinjiang style Lamb skewers, steamed tofu with shrimps, Chengdu-style chicken wontons in spicy chilli oil sauce and more.
