India- FDCI announces FITBIT as wellness partner for AIFW A/W16

fitbitFashion Design Council of India (FDCI)has announced Fitbit as the wellness partner for the Amazon India Fashion Week in association with Maybelline New York Autumn-Winter 2016. Showcasing the synergy between style and fitness, Fitbit will highlight its new fashion-forward products Fitbit Alta™ and Fitbit Blaze™ during AIFW AW16. Fitbit will host the ‘Get Fit in Style’ party on March 18, the Day 3 of the AIFW AW16. AIFW is set to roll out fromMarch 16-20 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road.

With this collaboration, the FDCI, attempts to remove stereotypes surrounding the fashion industry by promoting the ideology “fit is fabulous.” As wellness partner, Fitbit will work with AIFW AW16, to help festival-goers understand that even with fast-paced lives it is imperative to be more active, get more exercise, eat smarter, sleep better and manage weight. Fitbit helps people lead healthier, more active lives by empowering them with data, inspiration and guidance to reach their goals.

Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “Being a sportsperson during my college days, I understood the need to be active and that’s one of the reasons why this association has a special significance for me. With the AIFW AW16 venue being at JLN Stadium, one of the most recognisable arenas for sports, we wish to urge people to be fit, which will help them accomplish their health and wellness goals.”
