The major fashion event Lakmé FashionWeek, has announced that its next edition of Winter/Festive Fashion Week is scheduled to be held from 24th to 28th August, 2016 at the St Regis Hotel, Mumbai.
The Lakmé Fashion Week is jointly organized by Lakmé, the Indian cosmetics and beauty services brand now owned by Hindustan Unilever and IMG Reliance Pvt. Ltd., leaders in sports, fashion and entertainment marketing and management.
Lakmé Fashion Week is well recognized to be a platform for talent through its Gen Next initiative to encourage young designers, and has successfully held large scale off site shows with leading designers – such as Manish Malhotra and RohitBal, the previous season. In the previous season, designer’s showcased their collections on Sustainable Fashion and Textiles on Indian Textile Day. In the previous season, a Berlin based pret-a-porter fashion house – ElektroCouture& Friends participated and global fashion influencers – Fern Mallis and Renzo Rosso were present at the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016.
