The Gallery Room at the JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity hosted a private preview of the hard-hitting movie, ‘Love Sonia’, a narration of a true story on human trafficking and the victims of flesh trade. Several notable persons attended the event, along with Nicola Wynne, Managing Director at The Global Fund for Children, Dhvani Doshi, India Launch Manager and other members of the Global fun for Children and Foundation for Rebuilding Childhood (FRC), and several NGOs that are doing remarkable work in rescue and rehabilitation.
FRC Trustee Sandeep Gupta, who is also Executive Director, Asian Hotels (West) Ltd said, “It is only by supporting such as the vital work of Foundation for Rebuilding Childhood (FRC) and its associated partners that we too can become agents of change, helping to give hope to children and young people and build more resilient communities. I am proud to be able to host the viewing of Love Sonia as a Board member of FRC”.
Directed by Tabrez Noorani and produced by David Womark, ‘Love Sonia’ gets to the root of issue – right from the vulnerability of the victims, their tormenters, the large international mafia that spans from the sleazy village moneylender, the despair of ignorance and poverty. We wish more muscle to the remarkable work being done by the many agencies in controlling this. The need is to raise more awareness, and strong international and national laws to prevent such crimes.
