The chefs at Crowne Plaza New Delhi Okhla are set to dish out the flavours from the ancient city Peshwar at their restaurant Edesia. The Dawat-E-Peshawari is scheduled from November 16 to 30th at the dinner hours from 7pm to 11.45pm.
The Chef promises to transport the guests to the culinary by lanes of Peshawar as they relish the rich flavours from the mainland. According to Executive Chef Swaminandan, “Peshawar like Delhi has an old walled city and a rich culinary tradition. It is famous for its Namak Mandi which is a cult place for delectable Pashtun flavours. Known for using minimum spices, the dishes are char-grilled or made in kadhai and are known for retaining the original flavor of the main ingredient. We are trying to recreate the Peshawari magic for our patrons.”
The festival will also provide a glimpse to the cultural, artistic, historic aspects of the ancient city of Peshawar, which is now in Pakistan.The extensive menu will have a spread of sumptuous delicacies such as Lahori bhagichi kebab , Angareseekh kebab, Malika-a-dariya, (Shinwari)Sindhi chicken tikka , Kharodekashorba ,Chicken yakhnishobra , Maas dawat-e-khas, Mutton pukthan, Mutton Rizalacookkad ,Chicken siyal court Karachi machi curry, Lahori machi curry, Paneer begammah Baluchi paneer Multani dal
