Tucked away behind the hedge, alongside the shallow wading pool, we enjoyed a sumptuous Sunday brunch at the Deck at Hyatt Regency Delhi, which has returned in an all-new avatar. The winter sunshine, the live band, prosecco, and the talented Chef Shivendra Pandey made the entire experience memorable. Sitting bang on the very noisy and busy Ring Road, one didn’t expect this at the Hyatt Regency, but this indeed was a little island of peace in the heart of South Delhi.
Indian cuisine at restaurants usually is the same fare, but the stuffed Kulchas of-another-kind, and the utterly delightful baked Dahi Bhallas pleasantly surprised us.
The new menu draws inspiration from global cuisines, ranging from refreshing salads, delicious appetizers, a BBQ and tandoor section and unique twists to classic mains, such as shrimp nachos, anjeer aur khumanika paneer, cafreal chicken tandoor, laalmaas, rocket-leaf salad, meegorengmamak.
The Deck meets with our recommendations for a family outing in the sunshine.
