Luxury Hotels Group has added to its portfolio the little known exotic African retreat on Zanzibar’s west coast in Tanzania, Zanzi Resort. Spread over six hectares of lush grounds beside the Indian Ocean, the resort has just seven secluded villas. Each of the bright spacious villas is sea facing, having private pools with thatched gazebos for shade. The cliff top villas also have their own private beaches. The high privacy element has made it very popular with honeymooners or those seeking to be left alone.
The eco-friendly Zanzi Resort has used only locally sourced materials for its villas. All vegetables are grown in the expansive property, and seafood is sourced straight from the ocean. Zanzi Resort’s distinguished villas are already award winning (best ecologically responsible property 2015, Safari Awards) and it is currently positioned first in Tripadvisor’s Zanzibar hotel ratings.
