At a time when the real estate business in India appears to be on shaky grounds, with major developers embroiled in court cases, the Delhi based zero-litigation developers Unity Group have announced their partnership with the Italian luxury label Gianni Versace S.p.a, for their super luxury residential towers, ‘The Amaryllis’, within their 40 acre residential project in Central Delhi. The family owned Unity Group is investing Rs 3,000 crore in this project. These Versace branded luxury towers will be all of 182 meters tall, with 46 floors. This makes ‘The Amaryllis’ the tallest approved building in Delhi.The architects for The Amaryllis iconic towers are UHA London.There are only a limited number of apartments in the tower. All the apartments would be 5 BHK’s. This tower would have an exclusive clubhouse in which we would have an infinity pool on the top floor, a helipad, swimming pool, gymnasium, restaurants etc.
Gabriella Saracino, Worldwide Licensing and Home Division Director at Gianni Versace S.p.a. shared with The Luxury Chronicle that Versace will bring the same level of excellence as in its other international projects, albeit keeping in mind the requirements and sensibilities of the Indian market. Versace is involved with the project right from the conceptualization stage and will be responsible for the design concept of the exclusive apartments as well as the design, mood and feel of the common areas and amenities such as the lobby, the sky garden, lounge bar and swimming pool rooftop. Developed under the artistic direction of Donatella Versace, the apartments will feature bespoke interiors created with the highest standard of Italian artisanship and a modern look that is unmistakably Versace. Gabriella Saracino said, “India is an important market for the brand and the Indian clientele is growing not just locally but across the boutiques network worldwide. Interior design is a fast growing business for Versace; it enables us to translate the Versace style and to convey our design aesthetics into everyday living.”

Speaking with Neelima Agrawal of The Luxury Chronicle at the Press Conference in the Italian Embassy, Jonas Upton-Hansen, Managing Director/ Founder, UHA London, said that they were working closely with the team at Versace, right from the drawing board stage. He also spoke about the special care to make the project eco-sustainable.
Harsh Vardhan Bansal, Director of Unity Group said, “The demand for Luxury Residential is increasing at a very fast pace in India. There is a great demand and a lot of vacuum as far as the supply of the same is concerned.We are developing The Amaryllis with the perspective of providing true luxury living in the city. Versace personifies luxury with a global perspective, and their excellence in craftsmanship and bespoke interiors will allow us to create the most luxurious, lifestyle residences in Delhi. Unity group will sell on invitation the Versace branded apartments, the price of which will be announced later.”
Govind Aggarwal, Director, Unity Group mentioned “The Amaryllis is located overlooking Central Delhi. The residential towers will have views of Connaught Place, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Lutyens Delhi and most of the Delhi Ridge. The Amaryllis is one of the biggest private projects under development in Delhi to be constructed in various phases that include: A Skywalk connecting towers on the 20th floor, double height entrance lobbies in every tower, extensive open areas, a clubhouse and an array of additional luxurious amenities.
