In tune with the onset of winter, when the Delhi walas begin to crave for the spicy rich Punjabi cuisine, K3 at JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity is celebrating the seasonal chill with a Punjabi Food Festival starting from 16th to 25th November, 2018. Chef Sweety Singh, aka Harjinder Singh, has curated a special Amritsari Swad menu for the 11-day festival, Chef Sweety Singh is a Punjabi cuisine specialist, and uses his own mix of spices, carrying around with him his own box of condiments where ever he goes, quiet akin to the khansamas of yore. Stating his views on the food from Punjab, Chef Sweety Singh busts a few myths. He said, “Punjabi food does not lie in dollops of butter, red colouring and cashew flavouring, it is all about how well you sauté and let the main ingredient cook in the secret spices”.
The current festival gives the food connoisseur a wide range of Punjabi dishes to choose from – both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Bhatti kakukkad, lahori paneer tikka, meat diyaseekha, Highway tandoori kukkad and more,all prepared with homemade masalas and traditional style to keep the cultural Punjabi vibes alive. Additionally there are the traditional starters, Seekha and Tikka, as well as the rich dessert of ‘Jalebi with laccharabri’.
