India – DLF Promenade partners Indian Navy for All-Women Car Rally

The DLF Promenade mall in South Delhi at Vasant Kunj, joined hands with Indian Navy as one of the partners, to highlight women power, aka Nari Shakti and enhance the awareness about the Women in White. The Indian Navy, in association with Navy Wellness and Welfare Association (NWWA) collaborated with M/s Jeep India to conduct an All-Women Motor Expedition as a tribute to brave women of the country and of Indian Navy. Besides DLF Promenade, the event was also partnered by Apparel India, and Luxottica Group.

The All-women Car Rally, with the slogan ‘She’s Unstoppable’ and tag line ‘Soar High’, commenced from National War Memorial, New Delhi on 14 February 2023 and reached War Memorial, Longewala (Rajasthan) on 19 February 2023. The rally terminated on 25 February 2023 after travelling 2300 kms over 12 days.

The rally accomplished its following agenda –
(a) Celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav i.e., 75 years of Independence.
(b) Highlighted contribution of Naval Women Officers.
(c) Motivated Women to join Indian Navy.
(d) Paid homage at Longewala War Memorial.
(e) Interacted with  Naval Veterans/ Veer Naris enroute.
(f) Conducted NWWA outreach as part of NWWA Day Celebrations.

The Car Rally was Flagged in at DLF Promenade by Admiral R Hari Kumar PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC the Chief of the Naval Staff and Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA. President NWWA Mrs Kala Hari Kumar along with members from NWWA undertook outreach programs at Schools for Special Children, Old Age Homes, Orphanages and interacted with ex Servicemen and their families. The women officers undertook awareness drive about career opportunities that the Indian Navy offered, the latest about the Agniveers and various other schemes for joining the Navy at identified schools and colleges.

Jeep India supported the rally with their fleet of SUVs comprising a Grand Cheroke, Wrangler, Meridians and Compass, EVO India. Femina was the Media Partners and the Marriott Group was the hospitality host. The event was also partnered by Apparel India, DLF Promenade and Luxottica Group.
