India – FDCI holds #Getnoticed female model auditions for India Couture Week 2016

The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI)shortlisted 14 female models form the recent #Getnoticed  model auditions conducted for the upcoming India Couture Week, 2016. The model auditions for FDCI’s fashion weeks is a much coveted opportunity for those wishing to take up modeling as a career. A nationwide hunt ensued, with the hashtag#Getnoticedtrending on social media. The Luxury Chronicle’s photographer NitinSadanah captured the action in some candid shots that we reproduce here.

The key criteria for selecting the models were poise, confidence and elegance. The selected 14 girls will don some the most beautiful apparel from the leading designers who will showcase at the India Couture Week 2016.

The most qualified to spot the right catwalk model is a fashion choreographer. Appropriately so, the six member eminent jury comprisedfour ace choreographers AnuAhuja, ArpanaBahl, Asha Kochhar and Vidyun Singh. The other two were designersGaurav Gupta and ManavGangwani, who shortlisted 14 beautiful faces, to walk the ramp at the upcoming edition of FDCI India Couture Week 2016.

Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “FDCI brings together the finest talent from all over the country whether it’s designing, choreography, styling or the world of modelling. We are revealing the most beautiful and talented faces, to showcase stunning creations by our veteran designers this season. This year, too, the bar is set high as they were judged by an esteemed jury.”
