India – First Inkpot India Conclave held at Taj Ambassador

shyam-jajuThe first edition of Inkpot India Conclave successfully commenced on 18th November 2019 at Taj Ambassador, Khan Market. The daylong event was spread across several sessions where assorted topics were discussed. Several eminent and well-known figures from various creative fields engaged in conversation about the arts, literature and culture of India. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Hon. Minister for Tourism and Culture Prahlad  Singh Patel,  Shyam Jaju, National Vice President BJP, Akhilesh Mishra, Director General of Indian Council for Cultural RelationsSome of the prominent people who were part of the dialogue were Sanjoy Roy, Shobhaa De, Shovana Narayan, Shashi Tharoor, Ritu Kumar, Shazia Ilmi, Ridhima Kapoor Sahni, Raseel Gujaral Ansal et al.

ratan-kaulAcclaimed author and guest of honor, Shobhaa De said, “The voice of India is only heard when the women of India speak. Inkpot India Conclave’s effort to give a platform to trailblazers is an epic step toward emancipation and progress of society at large.”Mrs. Ratan Kaul, the festival director said, “The concept of Inkpot India Conclave is novel and distinctive as it affirms our identity and values as Indians. Through Inkpot, we’ve brought together minds who have popularised and take pride on their ‘Indianness’.The chief curator of the festival, Simar Malhotra, a young 22-year-old graduate from Stanford University said “If we do have to look inwards and within our borders, the pride in our arts, our talent is what our nationalism should be about. It is these that can educate, empower and take our country forward.”
