Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru’s Festive Showcase Raises Funds for Breast Cancer Research in collaboration with The cARTpet Project by Brinda Miller and Tarana Khubchandani
In a convergence of artistry, philanthropy, and luxury, Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru hosted an exclusive showcase of The cARTpet Project, a remarkable collaboration by celebrated curators Brinda Miller and Dr. Tarana Khubchandani, that redefined the festive season with a purpose. Hosted as part of the Four Seasons Festive Showcase within The Collection—the hotel’s sophisticated, members-only club lounge—the event celebrated the marriage of fine art and high-end textile craftsmanship, presenting a limited-edition collection of hand-woven and tufted carpets in wool and silk.
The cARTpet Project brings to life key artworks from twenty-two of India’s leading artists, translating their masterpieces into tangible forms of luxury. Each piece in the cARTpet collection tells a story, weaving together tradition, innovation, and the unique vision of each artist. Artists featured in this collection include Anjolie Ela Menon, Baiju Parthan, S.H. Raza, Brinda Miller, Jayasri Burman, Jehangir Sabavala, Krishen Khanna, Badri Narayan, Manu Parekh, Paresh Maity, Ram Kumar, Rekha Rodwittiya, Rini Dhumal, Neeraj Goswami, Sudhir Patwardhan, Satish Gujral, Seema Kohli, Senaka Senanayake, Sujata Bajaj, Suryaprakash, Shuvaprasanna, and Thota Vaikuntam.
This project offers a collection that is as diverse as it is unified, as contemporary as it is timeless. For the discerning collector, these carpets offer more than just aesthetic pleasure—they are a gateway to owning a piece of history, an investment in both art and the future; while also supporting a noble cause.
Since its inception in 2003, Gallery Art & Soul has been dedicated to raising funds and awareness for breast cancer, a cause that continues to dominate the lives of women in Indian society, shrouded in fear and taboo. The cARTpet Project, curated by Brinda Miller and Dr. Tarana Khubchandani, is a continuation of this commitment, bringing art and social awareness together in a powerful, visually stunning showcase.
Shalabh Arora, Marketing Director of Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, expressed the hotel’s enthusiasm for the event: “We are honoured to host the cARTpet Project as part of our Festive Showcase. The Collection at Four Seasons Bengaluru is an ideal venue to highlight this unique intersection of art and philanthropy. We believe our guests will be deeply moved by the exquisite craftsmanship and the meaningful cause it supports.” The evening was a celebration of artistic vision, of luxurious living, and of the power to effect change through creativity.
