The 15,000 sqft store provides ample space to showcase the range of furniture, lights, art, in various themes for a beautiful home. Important to note, that Nivasa is an all-out Indian brand, with global standards of design and finish, made using locally sourced materials.
The innovative application of Indian handicrafts techniques to blend various materials like stone, leather, wood, metal, weaves, textiles, for furniture in every setting needed in a home. It is a dynamic hub for designers, architects, and enthusiasts. The space features bespoke furniture, stunning lighting all designed and manufactured by Team Nivasa, wardrobes, art, décor, and a wide array of premium soft furnishings. Nivasa’s collection is divided into three distinct themes: Earthy, with natural hues and organic craftsmanship; Contemporary, showcasing materials like hand-stitched leather; and Classic, blending timeless elegance with modern sensibilities.
A special glass-enclosed space showcasing limited-edition pieces crafted from repurposed materials is an ode to sustainability. It all started with Rohit Kapoor, a Chartered Accountant, driven by his conviction in his creative potential, set up Nivasa in 1993 in Delhi’s Khirki Village. Kapoor overcame the lack of formal education in design by immersing himself in learning. He built a vast library of resources, explored material possibilities on the factory floor. In 2011, Nivasa opened its first retail store in Delhi’s Meharchand Market. Rohit’s wife Riti Kapoor stepped into the fold, managing the store. By 2015, a second store was unveiled on MG Road in Delhi’s Design District. The third, state-of-the-art store in Mumbai poised to elevate the brand’s presence further.
Armed with an international education and work experience, and a modern design sensibility, Saba Kapoor, Rohit’s daughter, joined the brand in 2016, infusing it with fresh energy and a global perspective.
