Gucci is expanding its presence in India with the opening of a new boutique in Mumbai. Situated in Jio World Plaza in Bandra Kurla Complex, the space spans over 5800 square feet and carries a wide selection of pieces for both men and women, including ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, jewelry and accessories, as well as Gucci Décor items.
Guests are warmly welcomed by a restored façade, all in marble – an antique stone that naturally reflects light onto its surroundings – and distinguished by a multi-hued geometrical motif, the veining elegantly framing the House’s logo. The refined design of the interiors, with marble flooring in synch with the discreet palette and geometric shapes, drawing inspiration from antique historic buildings. Hand-painted wood flooring with decorative motifs that reference details from the House’s collections, fabrics in lighter tones adorning the walls as a backdrop, built-in displays reminiscent of walk-in closets while newly designed racks inspired by classic brass designs gracefully accommodate diverse product categories. Velvet armchairs and sofas are teamed with vintage rugs. As part of Gucci’s commitment to implement and enhance eco-friendly initiatives and energy-efficient technologies in the House’s stores worldwide, the new boutique is designed using LEED guidelines and principles.
