India – New Moroccan Restaurant SORBO opens on Golf Course Gurgaon

The latest entrant on the culinary scene in Gurgaon is the new chic eatery SORBO, that brings the tastes of Morocco in all its diverse flavors. The north African Kingdom of Morocco, located on the cusp of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic is a melting pot of European, Arab, Berber cultural influences, and SORBO attempts to recreate the ambience within for its diners. Mediterranean and pan Asian cuisine, along with Moroccan dishes, the menu is experimental, modernistic. Also featuring are handmade pasta, Napoletana pizzas, Tapas Food, Small Plates, Large Plates, Toast & Tacos, Salads et al. The name SORBO has Spanish origins and means a sip or a small morsel.

The three founders of SORBO come with ample experience in F&B between them.
We asked Bhagyesh Tekriwal, one of the founders, “Why a Moroccan restaurant?”
“Moroccan cuisine is very close in taste to the Indian palette. The cuisine is relatively fresh and there are not many Moroccan restaurants here”, he replied.

The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, with 60 pax indoor and 100 pax on the expansive outdoor terrace. Additionally, the restaurant also boasts a dedicated area for private events and parties, catering to premium corporate gatherings and exclusive a la carte parties with a detailed and tailored party package menu.
Average cost for two at Sorbo is INR 4000
Time – 1 pm to 2 am.
