India –Six new Gen Next designers to show at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016

The Gen Next designer Program of Lakmé Fashion Week is commendable, in that it brings to the fore fresh talent, season after season.  It was this mentoring platform which introduced such gems as Rahul Mishra, NachiketBarve, Masaba Gupta, Kallol Dutta, Aneeth Arora, who have all made a considerable impact.

For the upcoming LFW Winter/Festive 2016 shows to be held in August, Lakmé and IMG Reliance are all set to groom its 22nd batch of six promising designers, NoughtOnej, SidhuJi, Dming, Khanijo, ParidhiJaipuria, Vaibhav Singh,  who have been chosen by the members of the LFW advisory board that consists of the who’s who of the Indian fashion industry.

Announcing GenNext designers, PurnimaLamba, Head of Innovations, Lakmé said “ Each season, the enthusiasm we receive for this program propels us to take it to newer heights. I am delighted to introduce our talented new designers for this season, each bringing their wonderful artistic vision to fashion.”

Introducing these 6 designers, JaspreetChandok, Vice-President & Head- Fashion, IMG Reliance Limited said, “LFW Gen Next is now the premier platform for designer discovery in the fashion industry. Our Gen Next program not only seeks to recognize high potential talent but also provide mentorship and guidance for an impressive showcase as the entire industry watches. These six designers have showcased a fabulous preview collection and I look forward to their launch on the Indian runway.”
