Sussanne Khan’s luxury interior and furniture brand, the Charcoal Project, unveiled its second retail gallery in Hyderabad, following in the footsteps of their success in Mumbai. The 35,000 sq ft Charcoal Project Hyderabad retail space is spread over six floors. This expansion marks a significant milestone in redefining the retail experience for home and interior design lovers in the city. The Hyderabad store creates an immersive and luxurious shopping experience. This milestone was achieved in collaboration with Electronics Mart India Ltd (EMIL), a leading name in retail. Over the last two years, teams from EMIL and The Charcoal Project have worked diligently to bring this ambitious project to life.

Interior Designer Gauri Khan joins forces with Sussanne Khan with a dedicated floor showcasing products from her eponymous label Gauri Khan Designs. Known for her fusion of contemporary elegance and traditional Indian elements, Gauri Khan’s distinctive design philosophy complements Sussanne’s architecturally inspired concepts.

The collection from Gauri Khan Designs features exclusive furniture pieces, limited-edition collections, fine art, and curated objects of curiosity. Expect mirrors that double as art—with sculpted frames in rich, golden wood with fluid, uneven edges, as if shaped by nature; Living room and bedroom sets with refined, timeless silhouettes, upholstered in elegant hues and dressers with clean lines, topped by mirrors with soft, built-in lights. Paired with a chic white chair accented in plush faux fur.

In addition to its exceptional design collaborations, The Charcoal Project showcases the exclusive Sussanne Khan x Janavi collection that creates spaces that feel both beautiful and historically rich. A particularly exciting addition to The Charcoal Project Hyderabad is the collaboration with de Gournay, known for its exquisite hand-painted wall coverings. de Gournay’s ‘River Scenes of Bengal’ is a standout installation, alongside designs like ‘Rousseau,’ ‘Amazonia,’ and ‘Chichester.

The six floors at the Charcoal Project Hyderabad are each designed to offer a unique experience, showcasing a range of concepts that highlight the very best in luxury living and interior design. The ground floor is about meaningful gifting—beautiful accents like candles, cushions, and accessories that elevate a home. The first floor showcases the Apartment with master bedroom and kids room, open kitchen concept by their partner brand Easy Kitchens, and the audio-visual experience is in partnership with Audio & Beyond. The second floor is dedicated to cooking and dining room concepts and two bedrooms that showcase their limited edition gallery furniture and art pieces.

The third floor is dedicated to the Gauri Khan Designs collection of luxury furniture and accessories. The fourth floor, called The Botanist’s Conservatory, has a modern depiction of a library and a drawing room made specially for a botanist. The fifth floor, the Barn House, is for creative discussions and consultations, with high wooden beams in tobacco and tea-stained Ash wood. It also showcases here, limited edition studio gallery pieces of product. This floor also has Sussanne’s personal studio office with a sprawling lounge spreading over the outdoors and indoors.
