The leading lifestyle publication, The Luxury Chronicle celebrated the iconic superstar Rajesh Khanna with a high profile event around the book ‘Dark Star – Loneliness of Being Rajesh Khanna’ by Gautam Chintamani, published by Harper Collins.Held at The Lalit New Delhi on the 8th September, 2016, the by-invitation-only event was a perfect representation of a star loved madly by his female fans, and analyzed endlessly by intellectuals.
The event started spot on time, with a welcome note by Neelima Agrawal, Founder Editor of Luxury Chronicle and felicitation of the honored guests by Ratan Kaul. Panel moderator Sonal Kalra set the right tone for a lively discussion, with Suhel Seth’s ready repartee and wit adding to the flavor. Anjana Kuthiala, who had known the star in his heyday, threw light on another side of Rajesh Khanna, that has not been in the public eye. 
Naina Balsavar Ahmad reminisced about the moment when Rajesh Khanna married Dimple and the impact of fans. The author Gautam Chinatamani spoke about the extensive research and data gathering to write this very interesting book. Actor Sushma Seth remembered her films with Rajesh Khanna.
The glamorous curator of this event Shalini Arora Kochhar, a top hospitality executive who was playing 
the double role of MC and Zeenat Aman, brought her vivacity and panache to the entire show.
Designer label Var-Shi, by Varun and Vidushi created the apparel for the fourteen heroines, who were modeled by the beautiful ladies each highly accomplished in their own fields. Aashmeen Munjaal’s Star Salon n Academy did the hair and makeup transforming the stars’ retro looks.
