A week long Sri Lanka Food Festival 2019 was inaugurated on 5th February, 2019 at the ITC Maurya Hotel, New Delhi, in commemoration of Sri Lanka’s National Day held on 4th February. The Food Festival is jointly organised by the Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi, ITC Maurya Hotel and the Blue Waters Hotel in Sri Lanka. His Excellency Austin Fernando, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka and Mr Arun Pathak, the Managing Director of the Welcome Hotel Lankan in Colombo, and Mr Zubin Songadwala General Manager ITC Maurya formally declared the festival open with a formal ribbon cutting and lamp-lighting ceremony.
For the next six days, the special chefs will curate an authentic spread of the Sri Lankan cuisine for the diners at The Pavillion.
