India – FDCI’s model auditions for Amazon India Fashion Week S/S-2016 picks new talent

The New Delhi based Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) conducted female model auditions after a nation-wide hunt for the upcoming Amazon India Fashion Week, spring-summer 2016, to be held from October 7-11, in the capital. The upcoming edition of Asia’s biggest fashion and trade event will be held at the NSIC Grounds, which boasts of a state-of the-art exhibition ground.

An eminent jury comprising veteran designers Ashish Soni, Rohit Gandhi Paras Bairoliya and Amit Aggarwal, ace choreographers Aparna Bahl and Vidyun Singh and VP Fashion-NDTV Lifestyle, Ambika Anand announced 11 new faces as shortlisted models for AIFW SS’16. The models were evaluated on poise, self-confidence, attitude,elegance and a winning personality.

Mr Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “It has been an exceptionally good season for us, with more than 100 greenhorns auditioning for the Amazon India Fashion Week spring-summer 2016. The FDCI has set a new benchmark for selection with 11 future ramp-scorchers cherry-picked by an eminent jury, who are all set for the runway presentations. This has made our online campaign #GetNoticed truly successful.”
