India – Nayaab at The Lodhi does it again for Indian textiles and weaves

The second edition of Nayaab, held at ThLodhi from 1st to 3rd December, 2016, lived up to its expectations by showcasing the rich heritage of textiles and weaves of India, with designers. The three day exhibition was curated by Rupa Sood and Sharan Apparao.

The range of ethnic and contemporary interpretations of jackets, kurtas, dresses, stoles, phirans, bottoms, saris, fabrics, shawls from some well-known or lesser known labels from across Kolkata, Orissa, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Kashmir, Jaipur, all at one place was a treat.

The exhibition showcased the works of designers Gaurav Jai Gupta’s Akaaro, Bodhi, Divyam Mehta, Eka, En Inde, Flora for Fauna, Gaurang Shah, Indian Textiles, Kashmir Loom, Kora, Monapali, AneeshArora’sPéro, Raw Mango, Sahar Mahjabeen Hasan, Sunita Shanker, Swati Khalsi, Vriksh Odisha Sarees, Vrisa by Rahul & Shikha and Weavers Studio Kolkata.
