On 11th September, it was celebration time at The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, which hosted an exclusive cocktail evening at its urban lounge bar Rick’s, in association with Chivas 18, world’s first luxury whisky.

The special evening was curated by Sandeep Arora, India’s first Whisky Ambassador to celebrate the ‘GOLD SIGNATURE’, an accreditation accorded to Rick’s by Chivas 18 recognizing it as one of the iconic whisky bars in the country.

The guests were taken on an extraordinary flavour trail to unravel the luxuriously complex experience offered by the exotic whisky. The evening witnessed the presence of the patrons of the Taj –Ms Ann Marie, FirstSecretary, Us Embassy, Mr. Sumeet Lamba, Executive Director, Pernod Ricard, and Mr. Ravish Kapoor amongst many others. To mark the occasion, the experts at Rick’s crafted 85 varieties of cocktails, each highlighting one of the 85 flavor notes of Chivas 18YO. Guests were also served 18 types of tapas with each round of tasting and fables. Some of the exciting cocktails paired with 18 types of tapas were Buck on black, Apple Vinegar Sour, Orange Blossom and Lavender Bliss to name a few.

The Wokkerie set in contemporary Morocco along with the innovative cuisine from our South East Asian Chefs brings a unique concept to bars in the city. The entertainment is eclectic and new age ranging from progressive jazz to blues, retro music oldies and light dance music towards the evening. The style of service adopted here is trendy, chic and spirited. The city’s swish set brushes shoulders at Ricks, made famous by its innovative cocktails, the “Guava Berry Martini”, “Vinegar cocktails”, “La Paris” and a fine selection of wines, malts & martinis.

The Taj Mahal Hotel on Number One Mansingh Road, New Delhi continues to remain one of the iconic landmarks in Lutyens Delhi.
