All celebrations in life begin with the food. And in keeping with the spirit, the rare Vietnamese restaurant in the Capital, Blue Ginger at Taj Palace, New Delhi is celebrating the Vietnamese National Week with a special menu. The celebrations are scheduled from 28th August to 10th September, 2015. Blue Ginger has specially invited the Vietnamese Chef Hana to bring alive the flavors of her country’s cuisine.

Chef Hana has curated a special menu to commemorate the big day. Blue Ginger fare brings together an aromatic blend of flavors drawn from Vietnam’s past healthy, light and tantalizing food, adds allure to the exhaustive menu, which includes variety of salads, soups, grills, curries and stir fries.

The chefs handpicked selection of complex flavors from the undiscovered regions of Vietnam. The names sound confounding but the dishes are delicately flavored, oil free and totally divine. For Starters there is the Hu Tieu Sadec, which is rice noodle with seafood and chicken. In the main course, there is the Ca Chem Chung Tuong Hot, which is steamed sea bass with glass noodle, onion, tomato, chilli in soya bean sauce. And for desert is the totally sinless, mildly sweet Che Suong Sao Banh Lot, made up of Vietnamese chendol in coconut milk and palm sugar syrup. Vietnamese cuisine is low-calorie, light and tantalizing, which includes plenty for vegetarians, salad, soups, grilled curries and stir fries. Blue Ginger takes its’ design cue from the influence of the French-Colonial aesthetics that still suffuse Vietnamese society.
