This October, Shangri-La hotels in London, Paris, Istanbul and New Delhi mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a series of Pink October culinary experiences. Each property interprets the theme through thoughtfully designed afternoon teas, brunches, and tasting menus, with a portion of proceeds supporting breast cancer awareness initiatives.

Five Chefs, One Cause at Shangri-La Eros New Delhi
On 9 October 2025, Sorrento hosted a one-night-only charity dinner, with proceeds dedicated to Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Five chefs collaborated on a five-course menu celebrating culinary craftsmanship and community:
- Susanna Di Cosimo (Pizzeria da Susy)
- Chef Narender (Khubani / Belcibo Hospitality)
- Chef Sanket Joshi (Avatara, Mumbai)
- Chef Tarun (Le Cordon Bleu)
- Chef Aasib (Sorrento, Shangri-La Eros New Delhi)
The first course by Chef Susy was Napoli Style Pizza. The vegetarian version, Pink Promise, came with a topping of Ricotta, Beetroot, Pesto Caviar and Pickled Onions. The Italian Flame version of the same had N’duja too for the topping.
The second course by Chef Sanket Joshi had exciting Indian flavours with Fafda Taco (Butternut Squash, Black lime, dhokla), Ghewar (ghewar, sarson ka saag, pickled radish)
Chef Aasib visited the Italian flacours for the third course with Lobster Ravioli and Pink Gnocchi.
The fourth course by Chef Narender had Pink Ember Lamb Loin and Rose Paneer Mille Feuille.
The fifth course by Chef Tarun wrapped up the delightful evening with a delicious dessert Rose Petal Resilience (Rose champagne mousse, litchi jelly, Linzer sable and strawberry coulis).

The Shard’s spire will be lit in pink throughout October as Shangri-La The Shard, London introduces three themed experiences in support of Guy’s Cancer Charity.

A menu of rose-tinted finger sandwiches, pink scones and pastries — including Blush Praline and Velvet Ribbon — served with loose-leaf teas or pink cocktails such as Hibiscus Bloom and Wild Rose Spritz.

Under the glass dome of La Bauhinia, pastry chef Timothy Lam presents the Pink October Afternoon Tea, an artistic tasting journey featuring pomegranate gelée, hibiscus and pear notes, nectavigne with red shiso, and a refined finale of Greek yogurt, almond crunch and Burgundy blackcurrant marmalade.
Available every weekend in October, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. — €78 per person
Proceeds support La Ligue contre le Cancer du Sein.
