Hyatt Place Gurgaon Udyog Vihar is hosting Hyderabadi Rasoi, a week-long celebration from November 21 to 28, 2025. Curated by Ms. Dilnaz Baig from Hyderabad, the festival showcases Nizami flavours shaped by her family traditions, where the dastarkhan was always laid for a small army of loved ones. The team at Hyatt Place Gurgaon has recreated the charm of old Hyderabad with thoughtful details — a Charminar cutout at the entrance, staff dressed in vibrant ethnic attire, and coasters adorned with iconic Hyderabadi landmarks.

India’s culinary landscape is famously diverse. The rich, indulgent Mughlai cuisine from the Imperial kitchens of the Mughal Empire (Delhi, Agra, Lahore) with Persian + Central Asian influences; the Awadhi Cuisine from the kitchens of the Nawabs of Lucknow / Awadh region, that is more subtle and balanced, less creamy; and then there is the Hyderabadi Cuisine from the Nizami kitchens of Hyderabad, a fusion of Mughlai + Telugu + Deccani influences, more spiced, robust, aromatic.

Ms. Baig’s Hyderabadi Rasoi, however, softens the fiery edge. With culinary experiences across Iran, Turkey, Romania, Europe, and the US, she brings a global perspective yet remains rooted in tradition. Her mentorship and passion for preserving this heritage make her a beloved figure — and yes, her Khatti Dal is a must-try.
Guests can savour classics such as Hyderabadi Biryani, Haleem, Mirchi ka Salan, and Double ka Meetha. Starters include Pathar ka Gosht , Shikampuri Kebab, Paneer 65, and Talawa Gosht. Main courses feature Hyderabadi Dum Biryani (chicken, vegetarian, and mutton), Haleem, Bagara Baingan, Khatti Dal, Mirchi ka Salan.
