Renowned international lawyer Maja Groff, Esq., based in The Hague, is set to arrive in India on a significant visit hosted by the Trajectories of Hope Foundation, a New Delhi-based think tank committed to inclusive, value-based societal development.

Maja Groff is a leading voice in addressing urgent global challenges such as the climate crisis, international institutional reform, and the rule of law. She currently serves as Convenor of the Climate Governance Commission, Co-Chair of the Coordinating Committee, and Senior Treaty Advisor for the proposed International Anti-Corruption Court (IACC). She also leads the Planetary Governance Program at The New Institute and was previously a Visiting Professor at Leiden University. A recipient of the New Shape Prize for global governance innovation in 2018, she is also the co-author of Global Governance and the Emergence of Global Institutions for the 21st Century (Cambridge University Press).
During her time in India, Ms. Groff will engage in a series of high-level lectures and discussions at various academic and policy institutions. Her schedule includes talks on themes such as international peace and security, the global climate crisis, the establishment of the IACC, and urgent reforms within international bodies including the United Nations. She will also highlight cutting-edge initiatives like the Planetary Governance Program, which advocates for upgrading global governance frameworks to meet 21st-century challenges.

On the eve of her trip to India, Ms. Groff said “Given the intensifying international challenge landscape, it is time for us to ‘dig deep’ within our core, shared values – across diverse societies and cultures – to work together as never before to ensure secure foundations and ways of organizing our world for the skillful navigation of shared global issues, moving towards unprecedented collective flourishing.”
