Piya Khan has forayed into the already crowded space of handcrafted jewellery with her new line under her brand ‘1 Off by Piya Khan’. The launch and exhibition was held at designers Gauri and Nainika’s studio at Lado Sarai. The new range of 52 pieces of jewellery in contemporary and bohemian style is embedded with semi-precious stones in vibrant colors.
Visible at the launch were some well known faces, such as Mira and Muzaffar Ali, members of the fashion designer fraternity, models and socialites. Much of the collection was already sold before the end of evening. Piya plans to keep away from setting up a regular outlet, but will reach out to her patrons via strategically held exhibitions for now.

Elaborating more on her designing style, Piya commented, “Like we need clothes to represent who we are; we need jewellery to represent our style. The true value and beauty of a design is represented when the person wearing it admires it for what it is. My new collection has been designed especially for the festive season, evening occasions and cocktail parties.”
