Earlier this year, in April, Swiss luxury watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen, had revealed at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025, its new collection of watches inspired by its collaboration with the new movie, F1, the much-anticipated Apple Original Film that has been released worldwide this week in June. As the official team watch sponsor of the fictional team at the heart of the movie, “APXGP”, IWC’s branding is featured across the film’s race cars, driver suits, and team gear. The limited edition of the Ingenieur Automatic 40 with a green dial is inspired by the bespoke watch worn by the main character Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) in the movie. In addition, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer presents three new chronographs in its Pilot’s Watches collection. They feature a design with colour codes and details inspired by the team colours and race cars of “APXGP”.
This collaboration brings together the worlds of motorsport, cinema, and haute horlogerie. With the rise of Formula 1™ in India, and a growing base of collectors, the exclusive timepieces present a rare opportunity to own a piece of cinematic and engineering history.
