The Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral first made waves at its premiere in 2018. Just in time for the festive season, Carl F. Bucherer is now presenting a new trilogy of elegant variations that celebrate modern watchmaking as a set or individually. These stately chronometers made of rose, yellow or white gold feature the CFB T3000 manufacture movement. It showcases the Lucerne manufacturer’s innovation and excellence in watchmaking in two ways at once: the floating tourbillon and peripheral automatic winding system once again underscore Carl F. Bucherer’s leading role in peripheral technology.

Expressive: the trilogy

The new unlimited Tourbillon models feature an expressive, multifaceted 43.1-millimeter case in the three classic gold alloys. With the utmost elegance, they demonstrate different ways of showcasing the precious metal. While the variation in yellow gold has a classic retro style with a silver-colored dial and a brown alligator-leather strap, the white-gold version features modern contrasts with a dark gray dial, black strap and rose-gold-colored indices and hands. A model made of rose gold rounds out the trilogy. The warm brown shade of the dial and strap emphasizes the elegant yet striking style of this extraordinary variation.

All three watches are available in an exclusive collector’s set or separately. They are the result of elaborate craftsmanship and have COSC-certified chronometer status due to their great precision. The sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the front and back ensures a clear view of the exquisite beauty of the dial and T3000 manufacture caliber.

Double peripheral and simply classic: the complications

The pursuit of excellence and innovation drives the Carl F. Bucherer team to outstanding achievements time and time again. The Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral prominently showcases two of Carl F. Bucherer’s technical milestones at once: the peripheral automatic winding system and the patented peripherally mounted tourbillon – united in the T3000 manufacture caliber at the heart of this masterpiece.

Back in 2008, Carl F. Bucherer presented the A1000 caliber, the world’s first movement that allowed successful series production of a peripheral automatic winding system. The A2000, which is a COSC-certified chronometer and was first used in the Manero Peripheral, added a new facet at the height of technology and craftsmanship to the long-standing Lucerne company’s manufacture movements.

With its peripheral tourbillon, Carl F. Bucherer ushered in another new era in peripheral technology. The watchmakers at Carl F. Bucherer seem to have gotten the classic complication to appear as if it is floating: the tourbillon cage is supported peripherally –invisible to observers – by three ceramic ball bearings that ensure stability and precise guidance. It is a uniquely sophisticated and advanced design patented by Carl F. Bucherer.

An illustrious group: Carl F. Bucherer’s double peripheral tourbillons

Starting now, the luxurious trio will be rounding out the Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral premiere model in the classic rose-gold case with a silver-colored dial. However, the Manero models are not the only timepieces in the Carl F. Bucherer collection to benefit from double the peripheral power. In the Heritage collection, another exceptional timepiece has an elegant, charming retro take on the technology: the limited-edition Heritage Tourbillon Double Peripheral from 2018 is a tribute to 130 years of Carl F. Bucherer’s savoir-faire. Its elaborately engraved movement bridge is an ode to the birthplace of “Made of Lucerne” watchmaking heritage that is both artistic and luxurious.
