The fast fashion label from Future Group, Cover Story has collaborated with the designer Karl Lagerfeld for a special-edition collection in Ready-to-Wear and Accessories for Fall-Winter 2019. As per information from the label, the designs have supposedly been created while keeping in mind Indian body-types, seasonal and cultural preferences. Though it did make us wonder as to why on the contrary have they got super skinny models to showcase the first look.
The Day wear collection leans towards minimalist aesthetics and classic silhouettes. Key looks are crafted ina monochrome palette, with black and white, and highlights of red. A snow-leopard mono-print and bold hound’s-tooth design, along with boucle fabrics. Athleisure is synonymous with casual wear.
The Evening collection gets glamorous with sequins, contoured silhouettes, orrock-chic with tux detailing, chains and studs.Besides the black sequined wide-leg jumpsuit, an androgynous tuxedo suit, a tuxedo-dress, there is also a comfortable range of trench-coats, leather jackets, and logo sweatshirts.
The ‘KARL LAGERFELD for Cover Story’ collection is available across 19 stand-alone Cover Story shops across Delhi, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Vadodra, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Kolkata. In New Delhi, the collection will also be available at specially curated ‘KARL LAGERFELD for Cover Story’ pop-up spaces at Select City Walk and DLF Promenade to be launched in November 2019.
