The women’s wing of IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry successfully hosted IMPACT 2024, celebrating women’s empowerment, innovation and the spirit of women leaders across India. This event was held on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, at the Walchand Hirachand Hall of IMC Building in Churchgate, Mumbai.

A highlight of IMPACT 2024 was its groundbreaking Women Entrepreneurship Tank (WE Tank) Program, which is a platform supported by Bioriidl, for women to showcase their transformative business ideas to investors.
Amrita Somaiya, President of the IMC Ladies Wing, said, “At the IMC Ladies Wing, we are constantly striving to innovate and find new ways to empower women entrepreneurs. This year, we challenged ourselves to think outside the box and explore what more we could do at IMPACT”.
Soha Parekh, Chairperson of IMPACT added, “I must acknowledge that the task of selecting the top 5 finalists was no easy feat. Each application showcased exceptional potential and innovation, making the decision-making process incredibly challenging. However, through careful deliberation and thorough review, we were able to identify the most promising ventures that demonstrated the highest level of merit and promise”.

Distinguished people from the investment world, such as Kruti Raiyani – Partner, She Capital, Sasha Mirchandani – Founding and Managing Director, Kae Capital, Paula Mariwala – Founding Partner, Aureolis Ventures and Founder, Stanford Angels, Arjun Vaidya – Co-Founder and Investment Partner, V3 Ventures, lent their expertise and insight, evaluating proposals and nurturing budding ventures with mentorship and guidance. Keynotes speaker Ajaita Shah, Founder and CEO of Frontier Markets, infused the event with a spirit of inspiration and aspiration.
Five startups that impressed the investors and audience for their innovation and vision were Anatomech, Cashvisory, Gifto Lexia, Maw & Paw, and Utopian. The highlight of IMPACT 2024 was the award ceremony. Anatomech claimed the coveted Investors’ Award and Maw & Paw won the Audience Choice Award.
The event wrapped up with a musical performance by Kavita Murty Deshpande and her troupe.
