The luxury Italian fashion and leather goods brand Gucci continues to be sought after by celebrities across the globe. The ongoing Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the 68th Annual Cannes International Film Festival, the Singapore Fashion Week – the association of celebrities with Gucci was spotted everywhere.
Lupita Nyong’o wore a Gucci cream chiffon plissé strapless gown with a black crystal embroidered ribbon detail at the top and waist accented with a black bow and hand painted fuschia silk flower, a black suede open toe platform high heel and a black satin clutch with an antique gold cat head closure on May 15th, 2015 to the Chopard dinner in Cannes. Tom Hardy wore a Gucci One of a Kind black satin trimmed notch lapel two button New Signoria tuxedo with a white dress shirt, black satin bowtie, black satin cummerbund and black patent leather lace ups to the ‘Mad Max : Fury Road’ Premiere during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on May 14, 2015.
Cate Blanchett wore Gucci Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Look 14, hibiscus red silk georgette dress with pleated and wrinkled raw-cut ruffles on May 14th to the Singapore Fashion week. For the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Georgia May Jagger, guest of Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele, wore a custom Gucci lilac silk georgette belted floor length gown embellished with an Asian inspired multi colored motif of flowers and birds hand embroidered with silk threads, glass beads and crystals. The gown features a plunging neckline, three quarter length sleeves and is edged with a delicate trim of light turquoise embroidered satin and yellow and black piping. To complete her look she chose a selection of aged gold, palladium, enamel and crystal rings from the Fall Winter 2015-2016 fashion show, a blue and green silk floral embellished hairpiece, and a pair of black patent leather lace up boots with fur pom pom detail.
